Bread is one of the most common and well known foods all over the world and it is also one of the foods that has  the most varieties, regarding the ingredients, preparation and shape. It is mainly the quality of the flour that makes normal an special different bread.Normal bread is bread made from a dough of wheat flour yeast, water and salt. Special bread includes a large variety  of dough which have had other ingredients added to the basic ones, or have had basic ingredients substitutedwith other ones, such as oil, butter, malt, sugar, milk or the wheat flour has been mixed with another flour. We give to you the recipe of common bread and you...put your fantasy!!

Ingredients:

  • 500 gr. wheat flour

  • 10 gr. yeast

  • 250 ml. water

  • 12 gr. salt

  • 15 ml. olive oil

Process:

Put the yeast into a cup of warm water. Stir and let dissolve for a minute. In the meanwhile with the flour forming a well on cutting board. Put the water and dissolved the yeast into the center of of the well and the remaining warm water. Incorporate the water into the flour. Work the dough well with your hands faor a couple of minutes then add the oil and the salt. Continue kneding the dough for 15 minutes , or until is smooth and elastic. Once the dough is well-kneaded, let it rise for 1 hour in a dry place, covered with a cotton dish towel. The dough should double in volume. You should shape the dough to the size you want and let it rise, covered for another hour. Then turnover the loaves and make a couple of incisions in the dough to allow the air to release during cooking. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in 240 degree in the oven until golden. In order to ensure a well-done loaf , be sure to pre-heat your oven to 240 degree before baking.

Notes:

In order to keep the bottom of your bread  from becoming soggy due to the vapor reliased during cooking, be sure to place your breadon a coolingrack as soon as it is removedfrom the oven.
