when I need to be cuddled a beautiful chocolate cake is the answer and an iced  chocolate cake is the best answer……..

I remember my university times and Sunday afternoons at my friend Giampiero's house, all together,  when   he used to make the original version of this cake, unique and full of secrets.

These good  times were more than fifteen  years ago, but when I make this cake, changed by time and by ingredients that I can find in Doha and also  changed by my memory, I go back with my mind and I feel like an  happy little girl!!! 

 

 

Ingredients:

420 g. flour

360 g. sugar

75 g. cocoa powder

 7 g. baking powder (1 sachet)

400 ml. milk

300 ml. corn oil

3 whole eggs

1  coffee spoon vanilla essence

1 tea spoon  rhum (optional)

 

In a bowl mix solid ingredients and in another liquids than merge all and blend.

put in a baking pan spread  with butter and flour and bake in preheated owen  at 180°for 40 minutes.

 

Icing

180 g. melting chocolate

200 dl. condensed milk

 

 once the cake is cooled, melt the chocolate bain-marie, add condensed milk and blend. Spread  the icing on the cold cake with a spatula and serve!
